Krogerus advises EQT on a EUR 450 million investment in ICEYE

Krogerus advised EQT's Scaleup Europe Fund on its first investment by co-leading a EUR 450 million investment in satellite imaging company ICEYE. The investment forms part of ICEYE's recently announced EUR 1 billion financing round at a valuation exceeding EUR 10bn.

Finland-based ICEYE owns and operates one of the world's largest synthetic aperture radar satellite constellations, enabling high-resolution Earth observation in all weather conditions, day and night. With a target size of EUR 5bn, the Scaleup Europe Fund is designed to back high-potential European technology companies in sectors such as AI, space, clean energy, biotech, and advanced industrial technologies. It is the largest fund of its kind ever mobilized in Europe.

Partners Simo Autio and Martina Castrén advised on regulatory matters, and they were assisted by Senior Associate Jonni Tiainen and Associate Regina Sedergren.
