Krogerus elevates three partners from within

Krogerus is proud to announce the promotion of Kirsi Kannaste, Kalle Hynönen and Pyry Somervuori to partners as of 1 April 2018.

The new partner elects represent a wide spectrum of expertise and a broad range of the firm's practice areas: Kirsi Kannaste fortifies the firms' dispute resolution practice, Kalle Hynönen continues developing the firm's IP and TMT offerings, and Pyry Somervuori contributes to the firm's successful corporate department.

"These promotions represent another significant investment in our clients' success. We have a strong identity and an exceptional culture as a firm. The appointments reinforce our philosophy of enhancing talent," says managing partner Juha Pekka Katainen.

"While the future of dispute resolution will transform with evolving technology and AI and alternative dispute resolution gaining foothold, the resolution of complex disputes will continue to demand the best people in town. We are pleased to promote Kirsi who is widely renowned for her expertise in commercial dispute resolution, international arbitration and competition litigation."

"The intangible assets are today's companies' key assets and the value of data has risen exponentially. This calls for expertise crossing traditional legal disciplines and Kalle's versatile IP knowledge in the digitalising world and in-depth understanding of the media sector are valuable future assets to our firm."

"Pyry has shown admirable commitment to both our clients and the firm. He is simply a very talented lawyer. Pyry has been instrumental in ground-breaking corporate matters and his presence has not gone unnoticed by some of the most sophisticated clients," Katainen adds.

"On behalf of everyone at Krogerus, I congratulate our new partners and look forward to their continued success," Katainen concludes.
