Krogerus advised MEAG, on behalf of one of its clients, on its acquisition of approximately 33,000 hectares of sustainably managed forests. The transaction is carried out by acquiring all partnership interests in UB Nordic Forest Fund II which is managed by United Bankers.
The investment is part of MEAG’s investment strategy to develop well diversified forestry portfolios for its clients in most established forest markets and represents MEAG's first forestry transaction in the Nordics. MEAG is the asset manager of Munich Re Group with assets under management of around EUR 340bn.
