Krogerus advises Intera Partners in creating Finland’s largest chain of veterinary clinics

Krogerus advised private equity firm Intera Partners Oy in the creation of Finland’s largest chain of veterinary clinics. The transaction involved the acquisition of 11 small veterinary companies and the formation of a new company called Animagi.

Animagi has 13 veterinary clinics in eight locations throughout Finland. It employs over 160 persons, over 60 of who are veterinarians. Most of the group’s shareholders are veterinary surgeons, while Intera Partners is the majority owner.

Animagi will serve to consolidate the fragmented market for veterinary services that existed in Finland.

The Krogerus team was led by partner Mika Ståhlberg. He was assisted by counsels Sami Martola and Hanne Keidasto on the mergers and acquisitions issues. Other team members included associates Pessi Honkasalo, Antti Husa, Laura Nurmela, Anna Polvenlahti, Paul Raade and Karita Raittila.
