Krogerus boosts its TMT and IP practice areas with several new lawyers

Krogerus has recently recruited four lawyers to join its TMT and IP practice areas.

Essi Launonen has returned to the firm as counsel as of January 2018, having previously worked for Fujitsu. Ms Launonen is renowned for her expertise in large ICT outsourcings and other ICT procurements. In addition, Ms Launonen will focus on other demanding assignments in the field of contract law.

Jussi Häyrinen has been appointed as associate in the IP practice area as of January 2018. His appointment follows the appointments of associates Celia Fagerström and Kristian Lauslahti, who joined the firm in late 2017.

Mr Häyrinen has particular experience in trademark and design matters. Prior to joining Krogerus, Mr Häyrinen worked as an IP lawyer for a leading Finnish IP firm. Ms Fagerström's areas of specialisation include intellectual property and marketing law. She has also worked as a trainee for Krogerus. Mr Lauslahti specialises in new technology related legal matters, notably those relating to blockchain technology.

"These hires fortify our high-value TMT and IP practice areas," comments partner Mika Puittinen. Mr Puittinen runs Krogerus' TMT business sector and acts as the partner responsible for the IP practice area. Senior associates Sarita Schröder and Kalle Hynönen continue as co-heads of Krogerus' IP practice area.

We welcome Essi, Jussi, Celia and Kristian to the firm and look forward to their contribution in serving our clients' diverse needs in TMT and IP matters.
