Krogerus advised Trimble Inc. in the acquisition of Silvadata, and the forestry business of Savcor. Both acquisitions were made by Trimble's Finnish subsidiary Trimble Finland Ltd and expand Trimble's global reach and complement Trimble's Connected Forest Solutions.
Finland-based Silvadata is a provider of cloud-based data, collaboration and workflow automation services to small- and medium-sized forestry companies for lifecycle enterprise management. Founded in 1985, Silvadata has over 1,200 end users in over 150 customer organizations.
Headquartered in Finland with offices in Brazil and Germany, the Savcor forestry business provides information and online diagnostic solutions for forestry processing and production planning. Since 1986, Savcor has provided software solutions to leading forest companies to improve their efficiency in the wood value chain from the forest to final products.
In both acquisitions the Krogerus team was led by partner Sami Martola. He was mainly assisted by senior associates Joakim Jansson and Kalle Hynönen and associates Milla Niemi and Nana Tamminen.
