On 12 November, Krogerus hosted its annual Insolvency Afternoon for leading market participants from the public and private sectors. Over 100 persons were in attendance at the firm's premises in Helsinki. This is the fourteenth year Krogerus has organised this event.
Keynote speakers included Jyrki Katainen, European Commission Vice President for Jobs, Growth, Investment and Competitiveness; Jörg Weidenfeld, Managing Director, Harish Kumar, Senior Director, and Bob Rajan, Managing Director, Alvarez & Marsal Deutschland GmbH; Tuula Linna, Professor of Procedural Law at the University of Lapland; and Helena Laine, Bankruptcy Ombudsman.
"Through this seminar we share insights on practical solutions to recapitalise distressed businesses, advise on their restructuring and enable their return to a growth path," summarises Krogerus partner Mikko Tiilikka, who served as the host for this year’s event.
Krogerus has Finland’s largest team of lawyers specialising in all aspects of bankruptcy, insolvency and restructuring. Our extensive experience has been gained through our successful involvement in some of the most challenging, complex and high-profile cases of recent times in the country.
"Sharing best practices on the application of insolvency laws to facilitate the recovery of distressed businesses is beneficial for all stakeholders," adds Mikko.
"We wish to thank our speakers and seminar participants for the lively discussion and successful event."
