Krogerus advises Nordea on its EUR 2.0 billion share buy-back programme

Krogerus is advising the Board of Directors of Nordea on a share buy-back programme of up to EUR 2.0 billion. The purpose of the buy-back programme is to pursue an efficient capital structure and generate sustainable shareholder return to the benefit of all shareholders by reducing the capital of the bank.

On-market repurchases under the programme will be executed within the safe harbour of the EU Market Abuse Regulation. In addition to on-market repurchases, Nordea may repurchase shares in accelerated bookbuilds (ABBs) should such be arranged.

Nordea is a leading Nordic universal bank. The Nordea share is listed on the Nasdaq Helsinki, Nasdaq Copenhagen and Nasdaq Stockholm exchanges.

The Krogerus team was led by Managing Partner Mårten Knuts. He was mainly assisted by Partner Paul Raade and Senior Associate Joel Kanervo (capital markets) and Partner Samu Lassila (tax).
