Season's Greetings and a Christmas donation to MIELI Mental Health Finland

We wish you a warm and joyous holiday season and a happy New Year 2026! This Christmas we have continued our tradition of making a donation to MIELI Mental Health Finland to support their work for young people.

Our Christmas donation is made towards the mental health work for young people

For several years, we have had a tradition of making a Christmas donation to MIELI Mental Health Finland, the world’s oldest non-governmental organisation dedicated to mental health. With this year’s Christmas donation, we continue our support for MIELI and its important mission of promoting mental health, providing crisis support and preventing mental health issues. MIELI was originally chosen by the people of Krogerus as the charity for our Christmas donations.

MIELI helps young people in crisis situations who struggle with, for example, depression, anxiety or bullying. With the received Christmas donations, MIELI will provide training to professionals working with young people to give them the tools they need to help young people and strengthen their mental health skills. The donations will also be used for MIELI's Sekaisin online chat that provides immediate support to those in need.

“Mental health issues among young people have remained high since the COVID pandemic, as the pressures and demands placed on them have increased. It is important to promote the mental health of young people in schools, hobbies, and at home, which is why MIELI provides training to adults who spend time with young people in their daily lives. We also talk with young people on our Sekasin online chat each day of the year. Many of the chat users have said that they would have been left alone with their mental health problems if they had not been able to talk to a professional. We need resources, in order for us at MIELI to do our work. This is why it is important that companies support mental health work for young people through their Christmas donations"
, says Satu Raappana, Director – Children and Youth at MIELI.

MIELI has helped people living in Finland through their life crises for over 120 years. MIELI offers crisis support through its 22 crisis centres, provides training, organises volunteer work, and participates actively in mental health-related public conversation. The Art Patron collaboration in our Christmas Greeting

As another Christmas tradition of ours, the bespoke painting for our Christmas Greeting has been made through our Art Patron collaboration with art gallery Helsinki Contemporary. This year's art was made by artist Leena Nio, who is interested in the possibilities of painting as a means of expression. Her works can be tightly cropped portraits, in which attention is drawn to details that initially seem irrelevant. The loops of a knitwear or the surfaces of fabrics are everyday observations that are mundane but at the same time, contain a whole life.

Art Patron is Helsinki Contemporary's partnership model that aims to incorporate art with companies' business activities. Helsinki Contemporary focuses on distinguished contemporary art by emerging and established artists from Finland and abroad.
