Krogerus advised VR Track Oy, a subsidiary of the Finnish state-owned railway company VR Group, on the formation of two joint ventures with Vossloh AG. Vossloh is a transport technology manufacturer based in Germany that has roughly 5,700 employees and net sales in 2014 of EUR 1.32 billion.
VR Track's switch production business, including two switch production locations in Finland, were transferred to Vossloh Cogifer Finland Oy, and VR Track received 40% of the shares in this joint venture. VR Track's long welded rail production business was transferred to a new entity called Vossloh Rail Services Finland Oy, in which VR Track also holds 40% of the shares. Group companies of Vossloh hold 60% of the shares in each joint venture.
