Krogerus advises Sentica on the sale of Coptersafety to MML Keystone
Krogerus advised funds managed by Sentica (Sentica Buyout IV Ky and Sentica Buyout IV Co-Investment Ky) on the sale of their holdings in Coptersafety, the largest independent provider of helicopter full flight simulator pilot training in Europe, to MML Keystone. MML Keystone invests alongside the existing management team, which will continue to lead the business and retain a meaningful shareholding.
Founded in 2011, Coptersafety operates a purpose-built, state-of-the-art helicopter simulator training centre five minutes from Helsinki Airport. The company owns and operates five full flight simulators, covering the most in-demand medium and heavy helicopter platforms used in emergency services, off-shore, government and VIP missions. Coptersafety delivers mandatory, safety-critical training to professional helicopter operators globally, with approximately 95% of sales generated internationally. The company holds approvals from major aviation authorities, including EASA, the FAA, the UK CAA and Transport Canada.
The Krogerus team was led by Partners Mika Ståhlberg and Antti Luhtala and they were primarily assisted by Senior Associate Kaarle Kivimäki and Associate Henna Olkkonen. Partner Heidi Kivenjuuri advised on financing matters and she was primarily assisted by Associate Johannes Keskinen.
