Krogerus advises City of Espoo in Public Private Partnership project

Krogerus advised the City of Espoo in the Public Private Partnership (PPP) project which consists of renovating the Kirsti school and day-care center and renovating and extending the Viherlaakso school buildings. The total value of the project is approximately EUR 60 million and it is the largest PPP in the Finnish school sector to date.

A consortium formed by YIT Rakennus Oy and Caverion Oy is responsible for the construction and maintenance of the buildings for a period of 20 years pursuant to the service agreements.

Krogerus' mandate consisted of drafting and negotiating the service agreements as well as advising on contractual and construction matters and public procurement law.

The Krogerus team was led by partner Juha Wessman. He was assisted by counsel Teppo Vuorela, senior associate Simo Autio and associate Juho Jalo.

Krogerus has advised the City of Espoo in five Public Private Partnership building construction projects with an aggregate value of approximately EUR 400 million.
