Krogerus serves as Finnish counsel on Huntsman Corporation’s USD 1.1 billion acquisition of Rockwood Holdings’ performance additives and titanium-dioxide assets

Krogerus advised Huntsman Corporation on the Finnish law aspects of its acquisition of Rockwood Holding Inc.’s performance additives and titanium-dioxide assets for USD 1.1 billion.

Huntsman’s gains with this transaction include three titanium-dioxide factories with roughly 330,000 metric tons of capacity in Germany and Finland.

Huntsman is a publicly traded global manufacturer and marketer of differentiated chemicals. Its shares trade on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: HUN). Huntsman’s global sales in 2013 amounted to approximately USD 13 billion.

Partner Kimmo Mettälä led the Krogerus team, which included senior associate Heta Rönkkö, who advised on corporate law aspects, senior associate Carola Möller, who advised on employment law issues, and associate Suvi Tervahartiala.
